The Rotary Club of Farmville was organized on March 8, 1938.  The Charter Presentation was held on April 15, 1938 in the Hotel Weyanoke.  The Club was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Richmond.

In 1999 we began honoring members of the community who were Rotarians in all but name.  They were helping the community and living by the Four Way Test.  We call this award the Honorary Rotarian award.  We also began honoring our own members with Rotarian of the Year as well as Outstanding New Rotarian.
